We currently do not make any stainless steel knives. All Carbon Steel Damascus knives and D2 Tool Steel knives will rust if you get them wet and leave them wet. If you do get the knife wet it will not hurt it. Dry the knife, lightly oil the knife, and leave it out of the sheath. Depending on how humid the climate is where you live, you may need to oil it a couple times a year. One very important thing about knives is not to store them in the sheath. The sheath can trap moisture in and cause the knife to rust.
A knife is a cutting tool! A knife should not be used as a hammer, screwdriver, pry bar, or chisel under any circumstance. In an emergency it is understandable to use it for whatever you need. However, it is not the knife's fault when you break it. This knife will last the rest of your life if you use it as a cutting tool. All of our knives sharpen like any other knife you have ever owned. We recommend that you touch them up often. Because of the hardness of our knives It is very hard to get these knives from very dull to very sharp.
