Care

While we do make stainless knives, most of our knives are some type of carbon steel. Carbon steel knives will rust if not taken care of properly. It is good for the knife to oil it several times a year. If it is a knife used for food prep you can use a cooking oil. Storing knives in sheaths is a very common way to cause rust damage. Sheaths can trap moisture on the blade.

How to Use Your Knife

A knife is a cutting tool! A knife should not be used as a hammer, screwdriver, pry bar, or chisel under any circumstance. In an emergency it is understandable to use it for whatever you need. However, it is not the knife's fault when you break it or cause damage. This knife will last the rest of your life if you use it as a cutting tool. All of our knives sharpen like any other knife you have ever owned. We recommend that you touch them up often. Because of the hardness of our knives It is very hard to get these knives from very dull to very sharp.
